FIRE PERFORMANCE OF DELTASECRETFIX, DELTATRIM, DELTACOOL
4.1.1 Introduction
The following assessment addresses Departure Item 1 identified in Table 1-1.
Item
Parameter
Fire Engineering
Assessment Description
DeltaCool™ 100 mm thick smooth panel with a mineral wool core was tested in
accordance with AS ISO 9705:2003(R2016) and classified against AS
5637.1:2015. The reaction to fire test report, RTF252619 R1.0 by Jensen Hughes,
indicated that the DeltaCool™ 100 mm thick panel achieved a Group Number of
1.
It is proposed to utilise the test report for the DeltaCool™ 100 mm thick panel to
indicate the fire performance of the following panels:
-
DeltaCool™ 75 mm thick panel with a mineral wool core
-
DeltaSecretFix™ 100 mm thick panel with a mineral wool core
-
DeltaSecretFix™ 75 mm thick panel with a mineral wool core
-
DeltaTrim™ 100 mm thick panel with a mineral wool core
-
DeltaTrim™ 75 mm thick panel with a mineral wool core

Acceptance Criteria
Acceptance is taken as that each component of the panel does not significantly
contribute the fire hazard above what is tested in the reaction to fire test
report by Jensen Hughes.

4.1.2 Specific Hazards
The specific hazards identified due to the non-compliance:
1. The panels have not been tested to confirm whether it achieves a Group Number of 1 in accordance
with AS 5637.1-2015 in the absence of testing to AS ISO 9705:2003(R2016). Thus, the contribution to
the fire hazard of the panels is unknown and the panels may have an unknown impact on occupants
tenability or obstruction.
4.1.3 Relevant Fire Engineering Systems to Address the Hazard
As part of the Fire Engineering Assessment, the following is proposed:
-
75 mm thick DeltaCool™ panel, 100 mm DeltaSecretFix™ panel, 75 mm DeltaSecretFix™ panel, 100
mm DeltaTrim™ panel, and 75 mm DeltaTrim™ panel is expected to achieve a Group Number of 1 if
tested to AS ISO 9705:2003(R2016) and classified against AS 5637.1:2015 on the condition that :
